Ministry Overview:
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. A dedicated staff delivers our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum of Christian professionals. We are committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. We are committed to providing our students with experiences that will foster in them a servant’s heart, including extra-curricular activities, inter-scholastic athletics, music, theater, short-term mission trips, and numerous service opportunities. CVCA aims to create a Christian school community characterized by transforming relationships that produce a lived-out faith in the lives of our students, our faculty, and our staff.
Ministry Requirements:
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Faithfully upholds CVCA in prayer
- Participates in chapel as schedule permits

- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Job Summary:
Provide support by implementing the instructional programs designed by the primary teacher. Guide and motivate students to reach their full academic potential
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carefully follow and implement all lesson plans
- Engage students in the day’s activities with clear instructions and an understanding of the lesson
- Follow policies and procedures outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook and Faculty Handbook
- Exercise open, respectful, and timely communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
- Manage student behavior and administer biblical discipline in accordance with outlined guidelines
- Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus that always aligns with the CVCA missional boundaries
- Innovatively and appropriately bringing Chromebooks and other technologies into the classroom to amplify and accelerate student learning
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or commensurate experience
- Appropriate Ohio Department of Education licensure
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Work is typically performed in a conventional classroom environment.
- Ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the classroom
