Please Celebrate with us at the Friday Football game
This Friday’s last home football game is an all-CVCA-community event. There will be food trucks, a coffee truck and more for purchase. We will celebrate all the Lord is doing at CVCA through October Giving and thank CVCA’s year round corporate and family sponsors with special end zone seating. We are grateful for these sponsors’ faithful and generous support of The Royal Evening, Athletics, The Royal Theatre, and more!
Open House and Family Preview NIghts
Do you know someone who may be interested in CVCA? Please invite them to learn more about the CVCA experience at our Open House on October 24 or one of our Family Preview Nights on November 7 and 12. They can register HERE.
Enrolling a New student? Don’t Wait!
If your family is interested in adding siblings to CVCA next year, please begin the process right away as we continue to see increased interest in applications for new students. Current families do not need to re-apply due to our Continuous Enrollment Agreement. We also invite new students to attend Open House on October 24. Learn more HERE.
Picture Retake Day – October 22
Visualizations will be at the school on Tuesday, October 22, after the first bell, for approximately an hour to photograph anyone who missed the original Picture Day. If you missed Picture Day and would like to place an order, you can do so HERE. (This link will open at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.) If you had your picture taken but need a retake, you must return the white envelope (pictures included if you ordered) that was passed out to the student. Did you Get Your Yearbook?
All CVCA students get a Yearbook as part of their tuition! The student Yearbook team works very hard on these books and we would love for them to go home with you! If you went to CVCA last year, but did not pick up a Yearbook during the distribution on October 2, then please visit Front Office to get yours! If you were not at CVCA during the 2023-2024 school year, you will receive your 2024-2025 edition next September.
Hearing and Vision Screenings Coming Soon
As required by the State of Ohio, Hearing and Vision Screening will be conducted for our 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students during the school day. If your student wears glasses or contacts, we urge the student to have them on during the screening. Please contact healthclinic@cvcaroyals.org if you have any concerns or conditions before screening. Please make every effort to attend school on these days:
- 7th Grade (Hearing, Vision, and Posture): October 21, with Make-up/Re-do on October 28
- 9th Grade (Hearing and Vision): October 29, with Make-up/Re-do on November 5
- 11th Grade (Hearing and Vision): October 25, with Make-up/Re-do on November 1
Mother/Son Breakfast – November 7
Our CVCA Administration and Student Ministry Team are thrilled to invite our moms and their sons to share a special time of connection and breakfast together on Thursday, November 7. The event will be held in the Rasnick Center at 7:30 a.m. and cost $5 per person. Register HERE.
High School & Middle School FALL PLAYS
The Royal Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy Much Ado About Nothing on November 13 at 6:30 p.m. and November 15, and 16 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open half-hour before show time. Purchase your tickets HERE.
Wednesday, November 13 is Junior Royals Night. Junior Royals Club members will receive one free general admission ticket, a goody bag, a meet and greet with the cast, and more! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or with a check or cash at the door. Family members pay standard admission. Register your Junior Royals HERE. On November 22 and 23, the middle school theatre has returned will present Disney’s The Lion King Kids. Shows are at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30) with general admission seating. Tickets may be purchased HERE.
Grandparents Days – November 25 and 26
Our students’s grandparents will soon receive an invitation to Grandparents Days at CVCA. We look forward to this event every year and can’t wait to have our special guests on campus soon. If your grandparents did not receive an invitation, please let us know at jmeybaum@cvcaroyals.org.

Royal Technic Robotics Team Continues to Excel
CVCA’s Royal Technic Robotics team is preparing for their first competition of the season at Grove City College on October 25 and 26. While studying space travel and the possibility of living on the moon, the team designed a robot in CAD that can move across a suspended tarp (similar to a modified trampoline) meant to simulate the moon’s surface. The robot was recently taken to Pennsylvania to be tested on a Robotics competition field. Students met with the leadership of BEST Robotics to discuss their design and progress and assisted other Robotics teams. Team Captain and Senior Alex Cook was asked to write an article (located HERE) for BEST Robotics by the Executive Director of BEST about the methodology of learning and the experience he has gained as part of CVCA’s team for the past six years.

SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COUNSELING
college financial aid informational meeting – October 30
Parents of Seniors: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will open in December at studentaid.gov. To learn more about the FAFSA, CVCA will host a college financial aid informational meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. Our speaker will be Pam Pustay, Director of Financial Aid at Malone University. The FAFSA must be completed by both the parent and the student and should be completed during the month of December to maximize eligibility.

Cookies Needed – October 24
Do you like to bake? This volunteer opportunity is perfect for you! Cookies are needed for our Open House on Thursday, October 24. Please send in three dozen baked or purchased cookies to serve to our prospective families attending the event. They can be left at the Welcome Center on Thursday, October 24. Eat Wings, Raise Funds – TODAY!
CVCA Athletics is excited to announce an “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” night on Monday, October 21 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cuyahoga Falls (3001 State Road). BWW will donate 15% of both dine-in and takeout food sales when an event ticket is presented. Gather your squad and plan to support the Royals. Winter Sports Registration
Winter Sports are right around the corner. Be sure you have registered in FinalForms if you plan to participate in a winter sport this year.
