Open House and Family Preview NIghts

Do you know someone who may be interested in CVCA? Please invite them to learn more about the CVCA experience at our Open House on October 24 or one of our Family Preview Nights on November 7 and 12. They can register HERE.

Enrolling a New student? Don’t Wait!

If your family is interested in adding siblings to CVCA next year, please begin the process right away as we continue to see increased interest in applications for new students. Current families do not need to re-apply due to our Continuous Enrollment Agreement. We also invite new students to attend Open House on October 24. Learn more HERE.

Picture Retake Day – October 22

Visualizations will be at the school on Tuesday, October 22, after the first bell, for approximately an hour to photograph anyone who missed the original Picture Day. If you missed Picture Day and would like to place an order, you can do so HERE(This link will open at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.) If you had your picture taken but need a retake, you must return the white envelope (pictures included if you ordered) that was passed out to the student. Hearing and Vision Screenings Coming Soon

As required by the State of Ohio, Hearing and Vision Screening will be conducted for our 7th, 9th, and 11th  grade students during the school day. If your student wears glasses or contacts, we urge the student to have them on during the screening. Please inform the Health Clinic at healthclinic@cvcaroyals.org if you have any concerns or conditions you want us to know about before screening. Please make every effort to attend school on these days:

  • 7th Grade (Hearing, Vision, and Posture): October 21, with Make-up/Re-do on October 28
  • 9th Grade (Hearing and Vision): October 29, with Make-up/Re-do on November 5
  • 11th Grade (Hearing and Vision): October 25, with Make-up/Re-do on November 1

Mother/Son Breakfast – November 7

Our CVCA Administration and Student Ministry Team are thrilled to invite our moms and their sons to share a special time of connection and breakfast together on Thursday, November 7. The event will be held in the Rasnick Center at 7:30 a.m. and cost $5 per person. Register HERE.

ROYAL THEATRE FALL PLAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW

The Royal Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy Much Ado About Nothing on November 13 at 6:30 p.m. and November 15, and 16 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open half-hour before show time. Purchase your tickets HERE.

Wednesday, November 13 is Junior Royals Night. Junior Royals receive one free general admission ticket, a goody bag, a meet and greet with the cast, and more! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or with a check or cash at the door. Family members pay standard admission. Register your Junior Royals HERE. Grandparents Days – November 25 and 26

Our students’s grandparents will soon receive an invitation to Grandparents Days at CVCA. We look forward to this event every year and can’t wait to have our special guests on campus soon. If your grandparents did not receive an invitation, please let us know at jmeybaum@cvcaroyals.org.

SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COUNSELING

ACT Test Prep Classes at CVCA

ACT test preparation is available at CVCA through our test prep partner, PATHworks! Students attend all three classes on October 15, 16, 17 or February 25, 26, 27 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sessions include:

  • First Class: Full practice test and score with feedback
  • Second Class: GROUNDWork, English, and Math sections
  • Third Class: Action Planning, Reading, and Science sections

college financial aid informational meeting – October 30

Parents of Seniors: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will open in December at studentaid.gov. To learn more about the FAFSA, CVCA will host a college financial aid informational meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. Our speaker will be Pam Pustay, Director of Financial Aid at Malone University. The FAFSA must be completed by both the parent and the student and should be completed during the month of December to maximize eligibility.

Throughout the year, numerous college reps visit CVCA to meet with students, offer information, and answer questions. All reps are stationed in the Rasnick Center unless otherwise noted. The following schools will be visiting CVCA soon. Stop and see them during your lunch time.

Cookies Needed – October 24

Do you like to bake? This volunteer opportunity is perfect for you! Cookies are needed for our Community Open House on Thursday, October 24. Please send in three dozen baked or purchased cookies to serve to our prospective families attending the event. They can be left at the Welcome Center on Thursday, October 24. Please use this FORM to let us know you will be sending cookies. 

Moms in Prayer

Moms in Prayer is a great way to connect with other CVCA moms, pray for our school and community, and get engaged with the school in a deeper way. Moms in Prayer meets weekly from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. They will meet at the Tennis Pavilion while the weather is good. Please park at the tennis court lot. Whether you can participate one time, once a month, or every week, you are welcome. For those who can’t meet in person at that time, you can receive a weekly email to pray from home. Eat Wings, Raise Funds – October 21

CVCA Athletics is excited to announce an “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” night on October 21 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cuyahoga Falls (3001 State Road). BWW will donate 15% of both dine-in and takeout food sales when an event ticket is presented. Gather your squad and plan to support the Royals. Winter Sports Registration

Winter Sports are right around the corner. Be sure you have registered in FinalForms if you plan to participate in a winter sport this year. Now is the time to check your sport registration, complete your pre-participation paperwork, and submit a current sports physical. Visit cvca-oh.finalforms.com to access your account.
