SCHOOL-WIDE ANNOUNCEMENTS
OEC Renewal for ALL Families
All families must renew their OEC application to CVCA through the Google Form on our website in order to remain eligible for OEC tuition dollars.
Simply go to our EdChoice Page for the forms and instructions required for renewal. Remember your OEC application renewal must be submitted to CVCA through the Google Form on our website.
- After we have processed your renewal forms, you will receive an email with further instructions to help you determine if income verification is needed.
- Most families will NOT need to submit income verification.
- Submitting income verification unnecessarily could cause a reduction to the amount of your OEC scholarship award, as explained HERE.

Tuition Assistance Deadline March 31!
We understand that families investing in a CVCA education may need additional financial assistance beyond what the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship provides. The deadline to apply for Tuition Assistance is March 31, 2025. The Tuition Assistance Application can be found in your FACTS family portal. Please make sure you apply for EdChoice prior to applying for further assistance through CVCA.

Family Preview Night – April 3
Do you know someone who may be interested in attending CVCA next year? Invite them to our last Admissions event of the year, our Family Preview Night, on April 3 at 6:00 p.m. Visitors will meet CVCA faculty and administrators, take a tour of our campus, and have an opportunity to get all their questions answered. House Spirit Week – March 17-21
Get ready for a week of fun, friendly competition, and school spirit during House Spirit Week, beginning Monday, March 17!
Spirit Wear Themes:
- Monday: Everybody wears GREEN for Douglass House
- Tuesday: Everybody wears RED for Lewis House
- Wednesday: Everybody wears PURPLE for Tozer House
- Thursday: Wear your High School House Color or Middle School Grade Color
- Friday: Everybody wears YELLOW for Elliot House
Spirit Wear Dress Code Guidelines: Students may NOT wear shorts, skirts, jeans, leggings, or spandex. Students are ALLOWED to wear sweatpants and athletic pants.
Spirit Week Service Project: Raising Funds for APS
Akron Pregnancy Services serves women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Money raised will help provide free ultrasounds, baby equipment, and supplies that can help eliminate obstacles for these women in crisis. Houses and Middle School Grades will compete to see who can raise the most support for APS. Checks can be made payable to Akron Pregnancy Services. Questions? Spirit Week Activities:
School-wide Sticker Competition: Earn stickers from teachers or find them around the school. Add them to your House/Grade board. The team with the most stickers wins House/Grade points.
High School House Sticker Competition: Create the best house sticker with Mr. Su in the iLab. The winner earns points for their House.

Camp Carl Men’s Retreat – March 28-29

Spring Musical Tickets on sale Now!
Tickets are now on sale for The Royal Theatre’s 2025 Spring Musical, Newsies. Get your tickets at iTickets.com. This year’s shows:
- April 25 & 26 at 7:00 p.m.
- April 30 at 6:30 p.m.
- May 2 at 7:00 p.m.
- May 3 at 2:00 p.m.
Junior Royals Night at the Royal Theatre is Wednesday, April 30 with general admission seating. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or with a check/cash at the door. Junior Royals receive one free admission ticket and VIP treatment at check-in. Family members pay standard admission. Junior Royals Club members register for the event HERE.
CVCA Summer Camps
CVCA offers summer camps for children ages 7-16. Led by CVCA coaches and athletes, teachers, and Royal Theatre directors and student-actors. Campers enjoy learning new skills and making new friends in a Christ-centered environment. Space is limited and camps fill up quickly. Register HERE.
Marching Band Camp for CVCA Students
Student Musicians: As you plan your summer break, please keep in mind that CVCA Band Camp will be held from July 31 to August 8.

Summer Health Course for Grades 9-11
This summer, CVCA will offer a Health course for grades 9-11. The co-ed course will be taught on campus by CVCA Health instructor Mrs. Brandy Tepley from July 7 to July 25. There is a $500 fee for this summer course, which, like our fall and spring Health courses, meets Ohio’s graduation requirement for a half credit of Health instruction. Throughout the year, numerous college reps visit CVCA to meet with students, offer information, and answer questions. All reps are stationed in the Rasnick Center unless otherwise noted.

Gordon College Summer Residency Program – Apply by March 31
Apply for “Heritage,” a one week summer residency at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. You can earn four college credits while attending workshops, exploring the cities, beaches, and farms of New England, and pursuing God through scripture, assemblies, and personal reflection times. Apply by March 31 HERE.

CLUB UPDATES
Academic Challenge Success at Cloverleaf Invitational
On March 1, CVCA’s Academic Challenge team of senior Madeline Currall, sophomores Will Helin and Wyatt Barnes, and freshman Ben Choi took second place out of the twenty teams competing in the Cloverleaf Invitational. In addition, out of the ninety-seven students participating, Will Helin was recognized as the tournament’s highest-scoring individual player. Congratulations, CVCA Academic Challenge!
ATHLETICS UPDATES
2025-2026 Cheer Clinics and Tryouts
CVCA Cheerleading Clinics and tryouts for the 2025-2026 school year will be held Monday, April 7 through Saturday, April 12. Tryouts will be for the fall and winter seasons and are for girls entering grades 7-12. For current/returning students, this will be the ONLY tryout for cheerleading for the 2025-2026 school year. We will NOT hold additional tryouts for CURRENT CVCA students. All clinics and tryouts will be held in the Gym, and the Parent Meeting will be held in the Cafeteria.
Athletes who are NEW to CVCA Cheerleading, please click HERE to complete a form to receive information leading up to tryouts. This is not formal registration. Final Forms registration will open later and will be REQUIRED for all athletes trying out.
