Service Hours Due May 9

CVCA students are making their communities brighter, so far volunteering 34,000 hours this year! Don’t forget that hours are due May 9 and Bible Service gradebooks are updated periodically to reflect submitted hours. Students with 16 hours completed and verified in the Helper Helper assignment by the deadline will receive a “satisfactory” grade, which appears on official transcripts but does not affect GPA. For students to submit and verify hours:

  • Open your Bible Service class in Canvas.
  • Open the Helper Helper Assignment.
  • Click “add past commitment” (include hours from last summer, too).
  • Add details of when and how you helped with a non-profit organization.
  • Enter a parent as the coordinator. Do not enter other people.
  • Enter a parent’s cell number (best option) or email address.
  • Press “Submit.”
  • Make sure all previous entries have been verified by a parent.
  • If a student signed up or served at the Royal Evening or other group event on Helper Helper, the CVCA event coordinators will verify the hours.
