MARCH 2025
A Culture of Generosity:
The Royal Evening
The amazing Christ-centered culture of generosity at CVCA is never more obvious than at the annual Royal Evening dinner and auction. As the largest in-person community fundraiser of the school year, over 480 parents, alumni, and friends of CVCA gathered on Saturday, March 8, to celebrate God’s faithfulness to His school and share in the passion for Christ-honoring education for today’s students. All funds raised that night go directly to student tuition assistance and scholarships for students who would otherwise not be able to attend CVCA.
It was great to see so many CVCA grandparents at this year’s Royal Evening, sharing fellowship and enjoying the event. Some highlights of the evening included:
- A pick-your-own coffee mug option to fill with Shya coffee while browsing the auction items
- Three vignettes of beautifully curated appetizers
- Special background music by the new CVCA Jazz Band
- A special visitor from Italy who attended the event to promote a unique live auction trip to stay at his family’s castle
- An impactful video with students and alumni sharing how CVCA has changed their lives, which can be viewed HERE
- A matching challenge during Raise for Royals for 25 people give $1,000 within one minute (which led to 26 people donating at that level!)
- And most especially, the student servers scattered among the attendees praying for God’s blessings on the school
We would love to see more grandparents at the Royal Evening next spring. We’ll be sure to let you know when a date for the event has been announced. In the meantime, planning for the 2026 event starts now, so consider donating an auction item or sponsoring the 2026 Royal Evening as a family or corporate sponsor. If you have any questions about getting involved, please contact Jennifer Meybaum at jmeybaum@cvcaroyals.org or 330-929-0575, ext. 325.

The 2025 Royal Evening was an overwhelming success raising more than $400,000 for student tuition assistance and scholarships. This is a 70% increase over last year! Please join us in praising God from Whom all blessings flow!

Thriving at CVCA
CVCA teachers and staff have the distinct privilege of cultivating students to grow in the Lord alongside educating them. One unique way they do this is through a monthly segment called Thrive, now in its second year. Students are encouraged to select a 45-minute option to relax, do something creative, and build relationships with teachers and staff. Various options have included puppy therapy, handwritten note-writing, curated chocolate tasting, homemade breadmaking, crocheting and sipping tea, coffee and coloring, creative writing, and various sports offerings. Students enjoy a break from studies and share some time with their teachers in a new way. Ask your grandchild what Thrive options they have enjoyed!

CVCA Business Students on the Local News!

Shya Designs, the student-led business in the CVCA School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was live on New Day Cleveland at Fox 8 on February 19. Four students shared the story of providing Rwandan women with a platform to rise above their past and build a hope-filled future by selling their beautifully handcrafted bags. You can watch their interview HERE. To learn more about Shya Designs and shop online, visit HERE. As a local grandparent, if you would like to host a Shya Designs House Party to help share the stories and craftsmanship of these incredible women, please contact Josh Dolan, at jdol25@cvcaroyals.org for more information.
