Ministry Overview:
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. We are committed to providing our students with experiences that will foster in them a servant’s heart, including extra-curricular activities, inter-scholastic athletics, music, theater, short-term mission trips, and numerous service opportunities. CVCA aims to create a Christian school community characterized by transforming relationships that produce a lived-out faith in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff.
Job Summary:
This position serves as the primary contact for retreats, student trips related to student life events and activities at CVCA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate behavior aligned with CVCA’s mission statement, statement of faith, core values, policies, and expectations.
- Faithfully uphold CVCA in prayer.
- Help coordinate the details for the fall retreats, working with CVCA staff and the team at Camp Carl to coordinate necessary details and registration processes.
- Assist with the coordination of logistics for CVCA trips. (i.e., opening school retreats, Jterm, missions, senior trip, etc.) including booking travel, arranging accommodations, and preparing materials and supplies.
- Partner with trip leaders, making sure trips align with CVCA’s mission.
- Provide support and guidance throughout the preparation, execution, and follow-up of trip details to the leaders of each trip. Ensure all CVCA trips are well executed.
- Partner with the CVCA Business Office to monitor expenses, billing, payments, fundraising (if needed), and donations related to CVCA trips or mission-related activities.
- Help manage contracts or paperwork associated with assigned CVCA trips.
- Vet and investigate potential tour companies that could help support CVCA-related trips.
- Support the recruiting, training, and equipping of trip leaders and volunteer chaperones (including but not limited to parents, medical support, student mentors, and faculty and staff chaperones).
- Create and distribute communications to parents, staff, volunteers, and students.
- Assist with other details as assigned.
NOTE: CVCA trips may include but are not be limited to: Jterm trips, start of year middle/high school retreats, missions trips, field trips, senior trips, and special events as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (strongly encouraged)
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience working in an administrative school setting
