SCHOOL-WIDE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Class Schedules and Requesting Changes

Class schedules are available now.  Visit the Family Portal HERE. You may need to enter a district code – if needed please use CVCA-OH. Once there, click on “Student,” then “Schedules,” then choose the student’s name. (If you have trouble registering or logging into Family Portal, contact the Tech. Office at tech@cvcaroyals.org.) It is important to review your schedule to make sure all required academic subjects for your grade level are listed.

Due to class balancing concerns, we cannot honor requests to change class periods (but remain in the same course) or change study halls/PRT. Please do not request these changes. Also, it is possible that your schedule may change before the start of school in order to maintain classroom balance and class size with the addition of newly enrolling students at your grade level. We will do our best to avoid this, but if your schedule changes, you will be notified by the Guidance Office.

If you need to request a course change or see a problem with your schedule, please contact your guidance counselor. No class additions or drops are permitted after Friday, August 23, 2024.

Traffic Flow Reminders

As we prepare for the start of school, there are several things to keep in mind as you navigate student drop-off and pick-up times and locations.

  • The Steels Corners bridge is closed going eastbound. It will reopen in October.
  • We are continuing to partner with Walsh on traffic delays. Walsh has pushed back the start of their school day by 25 minutes in an effort to reduce traffic.
  • Be patient as we all work to manage traffic flow. It will improve over the next couple of weeks as everyone falls into a routine.
  • Keep in mind the following drop-off and pick-up instructions, and note that the Rasnick Center is not a drop-off or pick up location:

Before School:

  • Students may arrive at school as early as 7:15 a.m. ALL students arriving between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. should use at the Royals Fieldhouse entrance. No other doors will be open before 7:30.
  • If at all possible, students should arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. and proceed directly to their first class of the day. All entrances are open to students at 7:30 a.m.
  • Students should be dropped off at the following doors between 7:30 and 7:50 a.m.: Learning Commons, New Back Entrance, or Middle School Entrance.
  • Students who have parked their cars may enter at the Rasnick Center, but cars may not drop students off there.
  • Please do not drop off students at the main entrance after 7:25 a.m. as this space is reserved for school buses.

After School:

  • The same doors used for drop off may be used for pick up.
  • For the safety of all students, it is critical that families pick up students as close to the 2:50 dismissal time as possible. If a student does not have an extracurricular practice, meeting, or rehearsal, they need to leave campus.
  • In order for thorough cleaning to occur each afternoon, the building needs to be clear of students by 3:05 p.m.
  • Between 2:50 and 3:05 p.m. students are should transition to their after-school practice or leave campus immediately at 2:50.
  • General supervision will not be provided after 2:50 p.m. Students involved in athletics, fine arts, and other after-school activities are under the supervision of coaches, sponsors, etc.
