What’s that? I can get a refund?

Do you think that an SGO donation won’t work for you because you already paid all your state tax liability in 2023 through payroll deduction? Think again!

You can still donate the FULL amount (up to $750 single and $1,500 married) and get it all back as a refund of your state taxes! This ensures that your tax dollars are benefitting CVCA and not being left to the state to decide how to spend it.

For more information on how to donate to our SGO, please contact John Harabedian, CVCA’s Director of Development at 330-929-0575, ext. 324 or email jharabedian@cvcaroyals.org. Or, go directly to our SGO site to donate HERE.

Ohio EdChoice Update

FIRST: Go to our EdChoice Page for the necessary forms and instructions required for renewal. Your OEC application renewal must be submitted to CVCA through the Google Form on our website.

SECOND: Please do not submit income verification until you’ve received further instructions from us.

  • Most families will NOT need to submit income verification.
  • Submitting income verification unnecessarily could cause a reduction to the amount of your OEC scholarship award, as explained HERE.

Juniors to take ACT at CVCA – March 12

Every CVCA junior will take the ACT on Tuesday, March 12 during the school day at CVCA (free of charge). Students are already registered for this test. On the day of the test, students can list colleges that they would like their score sent to or they can send scores later for an additional fee. Students are encouraged to take the ACT more than once to maximize their score.

At CVCA, students are required to take the ACT at least once prior to graduation. However, students should consider taking the SAT as well, as some CVCA students have performed better (comparatively) on the SAT than the ACT. All colleges will accept scores from either test and do not prefer one test over the other. After taking both tests, a student is encouraged to retake the test they performed better on, maximizing their opportunity to earn their highest score. If you have questions about the ACT or SAT or test preparation, please contact Sara Fridline, at sfridline@cvcaroyals.org.
